The average farmer’s idea of a CO-OP was a group of farmers going together on their purchases to save money. The main problem was none of the farmers wanted to run the operation. This made them hire a manager then dock help, office help, liability insurance and the list goes on. After a few years and some slow pay and no pay, these operations become a RETAIL OPERATION and or closed down.
